Here’s an update on the current endeavors of India’s World Cup 2011 Final team members:
- Virender Sehwag: Retired in 2015, Sehwag became a coach, commentator, and provides cricket analysis on Cricbuzz.
- Sachin Tendulkar: Retired in 2013, Tendulkar is involved in businesses, sports management, and restaurants. He occasionally appears in the commentary box and remains a brand endorser.
- Gautam Gambhir: Retired in 2018, Gambhir is a full-time commentator and mentor of Lucknow Super Giants since 2022.
- Virat Kohli: Kohli, India’s successful captain, is approaching the end of his career and is in line to break Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI centuries.
- MS Dhoni: Retired from international cricket in 2020, Dhoni continues to play in the IPL and recently led CSK to their 5th IPL trophy. He is confirmed to play in IPL 2024.
- Yuvraj Singh: Retired in 2019, Yuvraj spends time with his family after successfully battling cancer and becoming a father in 2022.
- Suresh Raina: Retired from the IPL in 2022, Raina is now a full-time commentator.
- Harbhajan Singh: Harbhajan retired from international cricket in 2016 and last played in the IPL in 2021. He is now a full-time commentator.
- Zaheer Khan: Retired from international cricket in 2014, Zaheer is a full-time commentator.
- Munaf Patel: After playing a few matches post-2011, Munaf Patel is reportedly enjoying retirement with his family in Gujarat.
- S Sreesanth: Involved in the 2013 spot-fixing scandal, Sreesanth’s ban was lifted, and he retired from Indian cricket. He played in domestic and T10 leagues, including the 2022 Abu Dhabi T10 and the US Masters T10.
