India’s Boxing Day Battle Continues!
On Day 2 of the IND vs AUS 4th Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Team India found themselves in deep trouble at 164/5, trailing Australia by a staggering 310 runs. Despite Yashasvi Jaiswal’s remarkable 82, the visitors are under pressure with Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant at the crease.
Stumps has been called on Day Three, with play to resume at 10am tomorrow.

Session by Session Recap
The day started with India facing an uphill climb after Australia posted a daunting 474. Rohit Sharma fell early for just 3, leaving India in a tricky spot. However, Jaiswal and KL Rahul formed a steady partnership, pushing India to 86/2. Rahul was removed just before tea by Pat Cummins, and India lost momentum.
The last session saw heartbreak as Jaiswal, batting confidently, fell victim to a run-out for 82 after a miscommunication with Virat Kohli. Kohli followed soon after, scoring 36 before succumbing to the relentless Aussie attack.
The rain ends play early on a memorable day for India.

Australia in Control
Australia’s bowling unit, led by Pat Cummins, was clinical. Nathan Lyon’s spin and Scott Boland’s consistency proved too much for the Indian lineup. Australia, despite a minor collapse on Day 1, seems well on track for a commanding position in this Test.
What’s Next for India?
India needs an extraordinary effort from the lower order to stay alive in this match. Can Jadeja and Pant stage a fightback, or will Australia seal the deal early on Day 3?
