The cricket world mourns the loss of Graham Thorpe, former England batter and coach, who passed away at the age of 55. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) shared a heartfelt tribute on social media platform X, honoring the legendary cricketer.

Graham Thorpe No More
“The cricket world is in mourning today. Our hearts go out to his wife Amanda, his children, father Geoff, and all of his family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time,” the ECB stated. “We will always remember Graham for his extraordinary contributions to the sport.”
Thorpe’s cricket career was illustrious. In 100 Tests and 82 ODIs, he scored 6744 and 2380 runs respectively. His first-class cricket record with Surrey includes an impressive 21,937 runs. Thorpe played his last Test for England in 2005, leaving a legacy that will be remembered by cricket fans worldwide.
