There are currently 34 cricket stadiums in the USA, including 24 local grounds used by Minor League Cricket teams and one ICC-certified facility. In addition, there are plans to build five more stadiums, demonstrating the nation’s increasing commitment to cricket infrastructure.

There are cricket stadiums all over the country, from Georgia to Florida, North Carolina to Texas, and California, to name a few. The sizes of these stadiums range from large, open spaces with lots of seats to smaller, cozier grass fields. These stadiums are being built all around the nation as a result of cricket’s recent popularity boom. In order to shed light on the variety of events that cricket stadiums host, this article will explore the quantity and locations of cricket stadiums in the US. Go deeper to learn more about the colorful landscape of American cricket stadiums!

There are two international cricket stadiums in the United States at the moment, and there are plans to build five or ten more in the near future. The Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida, stands out among them with its 10,000 seats and ICC status for both T20 and ODI cricket. Furthermore, Morrisville, North Carolina’s Church Street Park, which has 3,500 permanent seats with room to grow to 5,000, is noteworthy.

Four potential cricket stadiums, each with a different seating capacity and location, are currently in the planning stages in addition to the existing stadiums.

The locations include the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, California; Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington; the New York Oval in New York; and an upcoming proposed stadium in Orange County, California. The following sites have been shortlisted for a possible major cricket stadium in the New York region: Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, Spring Creek Park in Queens, and Marine Park in Brooklyn. The combined estimated cost of the Washington and Bay Area stadiums is $30 million, with seating capacities of between 10,000 and 20,000 people.

Apart from the large stadiums, there are many smaller cricket grounds in the United States. These locations, which have been used for years by Minor League teams and other teams, have also played host to a number of tournaments. The Young America Cricket Club Ground in Stenton, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; the Germantown Cricket Club Ground in Manheim, Pennsylvania (formerly in Nicetown); the Philadelphia Cricket Club Ground in Wissahickon Heights, Pennsylvania; and the Merion Cricket Club Ground in Haverford, Pennsylvania are a few noteworthy examples.

There are several cricket grounds and venues across the United States, including the Boca Raton Cricket Club Ground in Boca Raton, Florida; Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; St. George’s Club Ground in Bloomingdale Road, Manhattan, New York; Red House Cricket Ground in Harlem, New York; Citi Field in New York; Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas; and Dodger Stadium in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California.

*Note: Famous baseball stadiums, including Citi Field, Minute Maid Park, and Dodger Stadium, hosted the Cricket All-Stars tournament, which featured cricket greats like Shane Warne, Sachin Tendulkar, Shoaib Akhtar, and others.

A franchised cricket league that was just introduced in the US, Minor League Cricket was founded in 2019. There are 26 teams in the league at the moment, most of which have their own home cricket grounds.
