India’s new era begins with fresh Test squad led by Shubman Gill
The England tour, spanning from June 20 to mid-August, features matches at iconic venues such as Headingley, Lord’s, Edgbaston, Old Trafford, and The Oval. This series is especially significant as it is India’s first major outing after the retirements of legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
Shubman Gill, recently appointed as Test captain, will lead a youthful and dynamic squad with Rishabh Pant as his deputy. Experienced players like Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, and Sai Sudharsan strengthen the middle order, while Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna will form a pace-heavy bowling attack.
