In a heartfelt interview, Kambli opened up about his readiness for rehabilitation. “I’m not afraid of anything. My family is with me, and I’m prepared to take this step,” he shared. Kambli also expressed gratitude towards his friends Ajay Jadeja and Abey Kuruvilla for their unwavering encouragement. “Jadeja visited me and motivated me to rise again. The support I’ve received from friends and well-wishers has been overwhelming,” he said.
Support from BCCI and Cricketers
Kambli remains hopeful for assistance from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He highlighted the support he has received from Abey Kuruvilla, who has been in touch with him and his family on behalf of the BCCI. Kambli, a prolific batsman in his prime, played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India, amassing over 3,000 runs with six international centuries.
