Pacer Mayank Yadav is poised to come under the supervision of the BCCI, as disclosed by secretary Jay Shah on Friday. Despite a brief return from injury, the Lucknow Super Giants’ pacer has remained sidelined for several games. Addressing rumors surrounding Yadav’s BCCI contract, Jay Shah affirmed that the pacer will be supervised and monitored by the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
BCCI to Monitor Mayank Yadav “Mayank Yadav joins a cohort of emerging pace bowlers without annual retainers, including Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal, and Vidwath Kaverappa. These bowlers will receive continuous monitoring and support from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) medical staff, reflecting the BCCI’s commitment to nurturing burgeoning bowling talent in the country,” stated a Cricbuzz report.
Yadav is anticipated to collaborate with biomechanics expert Troy Cooley at the NCA. Furthermore, he could potentially embark on the India A tour of Australia in June before the Test series commences on November 22.
Mayank’s Injury Concerns Despite showcasing speeds exceeding 155 kmph, Mayank endured a side strain in his third match. Although he staged a comeback against the Mumbai Indians, he suffered a recurrence of the same injury. Additionally, it appears highly probable that he will secure a fast-bowling contract from the BCCI.
