Mumbai Indians find themselves in a challenging position currently. Despite being one of the most successful franchises in IPL history with five titles to their name, they’ve had a disappointing start to the 2024 season, losing their first three matches. Additionally, the team is grappling with various issues. Former cricketers have criticized the senior players of the team, alleging that new captain Hardik Pandya isn’t receiving adequate support from them.

The situation has raised concerns, as expressed by Harbhajan Singh: “The visuals are concerning. Hardik has been left to fend for himself. It’s crucial for the players to rally behind their captain. The decision has been made, and unity within the team is paramount. As someone who has played for this franchise, the current situation is worrying.”

Ambati Rayudu echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the challenges faced by Pandya: “Whether intentional or not, there seems to be interference hindering Hardik’s leadership. The presence of prominent figures in the dressing room is inhibiting his ability to lead freely. This is not conducive for any captain.
