Jadeja surpassed Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, and Axar Patel to secure his first medal of the tournament, thanks to three incredible catches dismissing Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai, Mohammad Nabi, and Rashid Khan.

In a heartfelt moment, Jadeja received the medal from head coach Rahul Dravid. Overflowing with joy, Jadeja celebrated by lifting Dravid before sharing a warm hug with him.

Jadeja also enjoyed a friendly chat with Mohammed Siraj, calling him his inspiration and the greatest fielder of all time. While Pant has also won a Best Fielder medal, Siraj boasts two such accolades.
In the Super Eights match held in Bridgetown, India kicked off Group 1 play with a 47-run win over Afghanistan, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s half-century, scoring 181 while batting first.
