Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket captain, is often in the headlines for his leadership and performances on the field. But there’s another side to Rohit that always brings a smile—the fact that he’s quite forgetful. While his on-field skills are the talk of the town, his off-field forgetfulness has become legendary among teammates, and the latest story adds a fun twist to this trait.

Imam-ul-Haq recently shared a hilarious incident that highlights just how forgetful Rohit can be, this time involving his brand-new iPhone and AirPods. Speaking on the Ultra Edge Podcast, Imam recalled an amusing tale from the 2023 World Cup in India. According to Imam, Babar Azam narrated the story of how Rohit repeatedly misplaced his expensive gadgets during a captain’s meeting. Babar had to step in and remind him multiple times: “Rohit bhai, ye apna phone rakhlein” (Rohit, please keep your phone).

Imam went on to describe how Rohit would leave his iPhone behind at various spots and even forget his AirPods during the flight. “He would be cursing himself for forgetting things,” Imam said. This wasn’t the first time such incidents were shared. Back in 2017, Virat Kohli had revealed on Breakfast with Champions how forgetful Rohit was with essentials like his iPad, wallet, and even his passport! It’s no wonder his teammates have become accustomed to this funny side of the cricketing star.

Rohit Sharma’s forgetfulness might be the source of many laughs, but it also shows a more relatable side of the captain—one that is down-to-earth and easy-going, despite the pressures of leading a top cricketing nation.
