Sanju Samson injury update is here—and it’s a bummer for Rajasthan Royals fans. The skipper won’t feature in the Royals’ IPL 2025 showdown against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He’s still healing from an abdominal injury suffered against Delhi Capitals, where he retired hurt after scoring 31.
The same injury also kept him out of the previous game against Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur. Currently, Samson remains in Jaipur, under the watchful eye of RR’s medical team, as his recovery continues. The Royals are taking a cautious, game-by-game approach to his return.
During Samson’s absence, Riyan Parag stepped up as captain in the tight two-run loss to LSG. Despite the heartbreak, fans witnessed something special—14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi debuted as an opener and wowed everyone, becoming the youngest IPL player ever.
