The world cricket governing body, the International Cricket Council, unveiled a new logo for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup on Thursday. The logo’s unique pattern honors the recognizable palm trees of the West Indies, fusing perfectly with the “stripes” that stand for the United States. This distinctive design prepares the audience for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will take place in June of the following year and feature 20 teams competing fiercely over the course of 55 matches.

The pinnacle of international T20 cricket, the ICC T20 World Cup, has changed dramatically with the launch of a new visual identity. This updated representation was revealed by the ICC in a statement on Thursday. It is described as a dynamic brand that captures the unwavering energy of the game. The international cricket extravaganza, renowned for its lightning-fast action and thrilling moments, will now have a modern and dynamic visual identity.

The logo cleverly combines a bat, ball, and energy to represent the key components of international Twenty20 cricket. The T20 lettering has been dynamically altered to feature a swinging ‘bat’ enclosed in a vibrant ‘ball.’ This graphic illustrates the energy in each ball that is bowled and the significant influence that a single bat swing can have on the game.

The image of a “strike” inside the ball captures the distinct vibe and exciting energy of international T20 World Cup matches. It has a zigzag design that makes you feel like you’re experiencing heart-pounding moments and escalating excitement, kind of like a lightning strike.

A new level of distinctiveness was revealed by ICC (@ICC) on December 7, 2023, when it was revealed that the host nation’s textures and patterns would be incorporated into the brand identity for every World Cup.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is slated to occur in Bangladesh in September and October of the following year.

“The ICC Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups are poised to offer a thrilling and captivating experience for cricket enthusiasts worldwide, and we trust that the new visual identity mirrors that dynamic vision and energy,” said Claire Furlong, General Manager of the ICC for Marketing and Communications. The incorporation of unique patterns into the brand guarantees hosts a special role in determining the general appearance and atmosphere of the occasion.”

The six months leading up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA should be an exciting one. Now, fans can indicate that they would like to receive updates on World Cup news and ticket releases.”
