Pacer Mohammad Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim have been selected to represent Pakistan in the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. Both players recently returned from international retirement with an eye on the T20 World Cup in June. Leading the team is Babar Azam, who welcomes two new faces, batsmen Muhammad Irfan Khan and Usman Khan, both of whom showcased their talent in the Pakistan Super League. Expressing his gratitude, Muhammad Irfan Khan stated his dedication to proving himself within the team. Senior team manager Wahab Riaz, also part of the selection committee, described the inclusion of Wasim and Amir as an obvious choice, given their availability, Haris Rauf’s injury, and Mohammad Nawaz’s current form. Riaz expressed confidence in the duo’s ability to contribute significantly to the team’s success.
