The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently released a brief video featuring the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, set to host the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match during the 2024 T20 World Cup. The prestigious tournament, spanning across the West Indies and the USA, is slated to kick off on June 2nd. Progress on the East and West stands is nearing completion, with seating for nearly 24,000 spectators. Notably, the stadium will be the venue for all of India’s group-stage matches, including the pivotal clash against Pakistan on June 9th.
“Thrilled with the on-time progress,” stated ICC’s Head of Events, Chris Tetley, regarding the construction advancements at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. It marks the inaugural fully modular stadium for international cricket.
The ICC shared a 30-second video update showcasing the past month’s developments at the stadium, following a previous 30-second clip aimed at keeping fans informed about the project’s progress.
